Uusi vuosi ja uudet neuleet. On tässä odotettavaa, mitä kaikkea mukavaa keksii neuloa tänä vuonna, mitä ihania lankoja tulee ostettua, uudet ihmiset jotka tapaa.

New Year, New kniting. There's a lot to look forward to, all the nice projects I get to knit, all the lovely yarns I will buy and all the wonderful people I'll meet during the next year.

Vuoden ensimmäinen projekti on sadunlämmitysprojekti. Neulon ohutta vilttiä viime kesänä ostetuista värjäämättömistä Määkylän puodin villalangoista. Lanka on ruskeasävyisistä lampaanvilloista kehrättyä ja raidoittuu liukuvasti, oikein kaunista. Malli on Brooklyntweedin Jaredin kokoama Hemlock Ring Blanket, feather & fan -mallinen pyöreä shaali.

The first project of this year will be a Satu-warming-project. I started to knit a round shawl from this undyed lambs wool form Määkylän puoti. It has lovely , natural brown colours in that change gradually. The pattern is by Jared from Brooklyntweed , Hemlock Ring Blanket, a round shawl in feather & fan .

Mitäs muuta... osallistuin -10 % projektiin (syyskuun alku - vuodenvaihde), tavoitteena pienentää lankavarastoa -10 % ja samalla pudottaa omaa painoa myös -10%. No, lankavarasto ei suinkaan pienentynyt vaan paremminkin kasvoi... +59%. Oma paino ehkä putosi, ainakin housukoko muuttui yhtä numeroa pienemmäksi syksyn mittaan. Ei se vielä peilistä katsoessa näy...

What else there is now... I took part to -10 % project this fall, the purpose was to decrease the size of your stash with 10 % and also decrease your own weight by that same 10 %. I managed not to decrease but to increase my stash, by 59 %. Not a very successful project at that... but my own weight, I think that went down some since I could take a smaller clothes size.
